Editorial Policy

The rules TechniaHQRobot uses to report robotics claims with clear sourcing, technical context and visible uncertainty.

Editorial independence

TechniaHQRobot is an independent robotics publication. Editorial coverage is not written on behalf of the robotics companies, laboratories, universities or event organizers that appear in articles. A company may provide access, documents, images or technical answers. That access does not determine the conclusion of the reporting.

Sponsored work is identified as paid material. Payment does not convert an unverified capability into a confirmed fact. Technical limits, control methods and source boundaries remain part of the coverage.

Fact Checking

Claims are checked against the strongest available evidence

Names and dates

Robot names, company names, event dates and product generations are checked against official pages or documents when available.

Technical specifications

Height, weight, payload, speed, degrees of freedom, battery information, sensors and compute are reported only when a source publishes the value.

Control method

Coverage distinguishes autonomous control, teleoperation, scripted motion, motion capture, simulation and mixed control when the available evidence allows that distinction.

Results and deployments

Competition results, benchmark scores, production status and deployment claims are checked against official result tables, technical reports, customer statements or other direct records when available.

Sources Policy

Primary sources come first

The preferred sources are official company websites, product documentation, scientific papers, university project pages, repositories, government documents, event organizers, competition result tables and direct technical presentations. Company statements are treated as company claims unless independent evidence is available.

Reliable secondary reporting can add context when a direct source is unavailable or incomplete. A secondary source is not used to make a rumor look official. When sources disagree, the article should identify the conflict or use the most direct source that clearly supports the statement.

Robotics evidence needs technical context

A short robot video can confirm that a motion occurred. It may not establish repeatability, autonomy, payload, latency, success rate or production readiness. TechniaHQRobot avoids describing a system as fully autonomous unless the source and test conditions support that wording. Teleoperation is not presented as autonomous behavior. A prototype is not presented as a commercial deployment without evidence of that status.

Corrections Policy

Confirmed factual errors are corrected

Readers, researchers, companies and event organizers can challenge a factual statement. A useful correction request includes the exact page URL, the sentence in question and a primary source that supports the change. Confirmed errors can be corrected in the article. New evidence can also require an update when an earlier statement was accurate at publication but is no longer current.

A disagreement with analysis is reviewed on its evidence. It does not automatically require removal. Image credits, company attribution and robot identification can also be challenged through the same contact route.
